Five Keys to the Pulling Power of Vision

Vision can pull you forward. It has a pulling power that overrides our past. Vision fills you with confidence, calmness, and personal belief.

Question: On a scale of 1-5, where is your personal vision for your career accomplishments and personal goals? (1=Low, 5=High)

I was recently sitting at my gate waiting to board my flight home from Phoenix, AZ and was people watching. Some strolled calmly, others seemed to be rushed, almost frantic. There have been times in my professional career where I’ve felt rushed and almost frantic, like the people I saw in the airport, from being hustled around with my schedule. Nothing was calculated or calm.

The difference… VISION!

Often times, I’ve had absolute clarity of vision of where I am and where I am going… that’s pulls me forward. At times, life is like a game of a tug-a-war for our soul— two dogs battling for our mind. One dog is frantic and rushed, the other dog is confident and calm (vision).

Which dog wins? The one you feed the most… Slow down and clear your mind!

Here are five keys to the pulling power of vision:
1. Stop: Set aside time to regain your clarity
2. See it: Imagine the destination
3. Secure it: Document it
4. Stretch yourself: Believe BIG
5. Strengthen yourself: Get strong on the inside with a great vision

Don’t be the frantic traveler, be calm and confident. Let a renewed vision pull you forward in your career accomplishments and personal goals.

Here’s to your vision!
