THE INTENTIONAL EMOTIONS OF OUTSTANDING LEADERS

When I stand before an audience to deliver Emotional Intelligence for Extraordinary Leadership, I often ask:

“Who is the most positive leader you know?”

Think about that.

Answer? It should be YOU!

I like to remind leaders to look in the mirror every morning and to monitor how they show up (whether virtually or in-person). You may think positively and display positive emotions, but you may need to be aware of your body language and examine your facial expressions.

I like what one of my favorite leaders said to me recently:

“I lead to inspire others to love their jobs— to do it with positive emotions and legendary service to our customers.”

Remember, happy employees create happy customers, which create happy accounts.

Here’s to intentional emotions for outstanding results!
