15 Things Your Customers Want to Feel

Big Question:
How do people feel about doing business with you?

Three years ago, Julie and I went on a Mediterranean Odyssey– Barcelona to Venice and we discovered the beauty of the French Riviera. It was a part of an ocean cruise with, dare I say: “extraordinary service”. Truly remarkable! The sights were breathtaking but what made this trip so very special was the incredible feeling of care, service, and excellence on a very personal, human level.

One thing I believe:
Nobody remembers ordinary.
We only remember extraordinary positive experiences.

Another way to say it:
No one remembers common experiences, only special ones.

Now, back to you:
How do people feel about doing business with you???

I guess growing up in the service industry, we know darn well that there are plenty of choices out there for our customers. We would remind our staff:

I believe 100% that today, we are doing business in an emotional economy– products, services, and experiences are ultimately what creates emotion, positive or negative.

And those emotions keep us coming back and spending more or drive us to a competitor.

Here’s to an emotional economy!
