I QUIT!

A few years back, I was asked to come in and help an organization build up its employees because there had been quite a bit of turnover. It took only a few sessions to realize the problem was the leader, not the people.

As leaders, we’d like to think that when people leave our team or organization, it has little to do with us. But the reality is that we are often the reason. Recent estimates reveal that up to 65% of people leaving companies do so because of their leader or manager.

Remember, people quit bosses, not companies.

If you want to keep your best people, then be a better leader that they can choose to follow.

Here’s to becoming a better leader!
